A round-up of the Champagne deals on offer on-line and in stores … updated 1st February 2012…

There’s a predominance of bargain Rosé about at the moment – partly because it’s s low seller at this time of year and also because it makes a great Valentine’s promotion idea. Nonetheless, summer isn’t that far away so there it’s a good a time as any to start stocking up.  Nothing else really stands out as a bargain this month but with a range of discounts and offers across the board you’ll generally find your favourite fizz is available at a good price somewhere if you shop around.

Vintage Nicolas Feuillatte ChampagneMajestic have a range of offers on-line including a 2004 Vintage Nicolas Feuillatte  - a well balanced and fruity vintage Champagne and, at just £19 a bottle, definitely worth a try. Or for even more of an offer what about the non-vintage version at £17?

They also have the excellent Taittinger Brut Réserve at £25 a bottle – famous for it’s consistency and always worth buying at any time of year. Majestic are always worth checking out for brand name bargains and this month’s highlight is Lanson’s Black Label with a £10 saving if you buy 2 bottles – and why wouldn’t you?

Fans of the pink stuff will be pleased to know they also have a splendid Oudinot Rosé Brut at £100 a case. Although the depths of winter may not be the perfect time of year to enjoy this fruity Rosé you can store them away for summer and toast your good judgement when you see the price revert to £150 a case. Another pink Champagne on offer is their Oudinot Rosé Medium Dry at £90 for a case of 6 – a great medium dry Rosé at a great price!

If you want to stick with a traditional fizz then what about a crisp, dry and well-balanced Desroches Champagne at £108 for a case?

G. H. Mumm Rose ChampagneTesco currently have 13% off GH Mumm Rosé - a dry fruity Champagne just perfect for summer and at £32.99 it makes sense to start stocking up this premium brand. Another premium label on offer is a 2002 vintage Moët & Chandon at £233.64 a case. Tesco also have the best price this month on classic Moët & Chandon Brut Impérial - £26.99 in-store or £25.64 on-line.

If you want real value then what about Besserat de Bellefon Grande Tradition Brut at £99 a case – a medium dry fizz with citrus aromas and taste which belies its bargain basement price tag. Another deal you’ll find hard to beat is Léo Deviroy Champagne Brut at just £78 a case – a medium dry fizz with a crisp and elegant flavour – perfect for parties and events.

Waitrose Own-Brand Brut VintageWaitrose are another Champagne seller renowned for their own-brand offerings and this month you can sample an  excellent Waitrose Brut Champagne case of 12 for £227.88. Or, if you prefer to play it safe with a well known brand, how about a 21% saving on Lanson Brut Rosé with a case of 12 on offer for £330.48 or £27.54 a bottle? It’s one of the world’s best selling brands and a crisp raspberry fruity flavour.
